Why demisexuality is important:

Demisexuality is a term that tends to go unnoticed by the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike.
The only official website dedicated to education on the subject is demisexuality.org. Other terms such as asexual, bisexual, and pansexual have many sites available.
Many people don't understand how someone can't feel attraction without a bond. This is just as bad as misunderstanding any other sexuality.
Many people have gone on record stating that when they discovered this word it benefited them. If more people discover demisexuality, then it can help more people understand themselves.

Why we like having the label:

As soon as I discovered the word "demisexuality" it told me that other people go through what I do. They wouldn't have a word for it otherwise. The word told me that what I am is perfectly normal. It made me feel understood. It's not to feel "special" or "a way to just to fit ourselves into the LGBTQ+ community." It's a way to easily describe who we are without a lengthy explanation. That's why we have words to describe things for us.

Why is it considered a sexuality?

Because it is a sexual preference. If your sexual preference is to be with someone you've bonded to, then it's your sexuality. See this definition below:

If you disagree that's fine.

Some people don't understand the word demisexual. I respect your opinion completely. If you bring hate then that will only make you immature. Politely disagreeing is what's mature.
